Wildlife is a general term that usually has a positive meaning to most citizens. Each wildlife species or group of species has different habitat requirements that they need to live. Wildlife habitat includes water, food, cover, and space. The goal of many forest and residential landowners is to attract wildlife to their property without conflict to humans or damage to vegetation. Since wildlife is an important part of our ecosystem as well as enjoyable to observe, resources are provided in this section to help you attract wildlife to you property with minimal problems. If you suspect a problem with wildlife, see the Forest Threats page. View a list of wildlife publications on our Publications page.
