Volunteer Trainings, Seminars,
Workshops, and Courses
In cooperation with other forestry agencies and organizations,
Maryland Cooperative Extension offers volunteer training in forest
and wildlife management, annual forest stewardship seminars, as
well as other occasional workshops and conferences in specific counties
or locations. If you are interested in being on a mailing list to

Maryland Woodland Stewards Volunteer Training - MCE offers a 3.5-day training
that teaches 30 forest landowners and managers each year how sound
forest management practices can enhance wildlife habitat and other
forest benefits.

from Maryland Cooperative Extension on a request basis. Click

Mid-Atlantic
Forest Stewardship Seminar Held the first Saturday in November
each year at Frederick Community College in Frederick, MD. This
regional seminar is targeted to forest landowners and provides
concurrent workshops on forest management, taxes, wildlife habitat,
alternative income opportunities and many other topics. Registration
is organized by Terry Poole,
Agricultural Educator, at the Maryland Cooperative Extension
- Frederick County Office. Pre-registration required.
Delmarva Forestry
Seminar Held in the fall (usually a Saturday in October or November)
on the Eastern Shore in cooperation with Delaware forestry agencies
and organizations. This regional seminar is targeted to forest
landowners and provides concurrent workshops on a range of forest
and wildlife topics. Pre-registration required. Contact Bob

Central Maryland Forest Stewardship Seminar
Held in the fall in the Baltimore or Harford County area in
cooperation with forestry agencies and organizations. This regional
seminar is targeted to forest landowners and provides workshops
on a range of forest and wildlife topics. Pre-registration is
required. Contact Alan Daley at the Baltimore County Cooperative
Extension office for more information.
